Patricia A. Short appeals the trial courts characterization and distribution of the stock options which the respondent Robert T. Short acquired as an incident of his employment shortly before the parties separation, contending that the option rights were acquired during marriage and are entirely community property. She also challenges the trial courts "nonmodifiable" maintenance award. Finding that the stock options were entirely community property and that the trial court erred in entering a "nonmodifiable" maintenance award in the absence of the parties agreement, we reverse in part and remand for further proceedings.
